Marion Miller-Brogden, 81, Port St. Lucie, Florida

Marion Miller-BrogdenMarion Miller-Brogden, 81, died Thursday (January 8) in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where she had lived for the last 25 years. She was born October 31, 1933, to Henry and Myrtle of Velpen.

Marion, who grew up in Huntingburg, was an interior designer and entrepreneur for over 40 years. She was a long time member of the Savanna Worship and Bible Study Group of Port St. Lucie.

She is survived by three children, Marsha Nichols and husband Robert, Belding, Michigan, Maleea Braun-Nelsen and fiancé Troy Woodall, Franklin, and Robert Braun and wife Barbara, Romeoville, Illinois; two brothers, Ronald Miller, South Carolina, and Roger Miller, Arizona; her best friend and caregiver, Cathy Bough; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.’

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers, Bill (William), Clarence, Jack, Mack (Daniel), and Gary Miller.

Services at 10 a.m. (EST) Saturday at the Spirit Life Assembly of God in Huntingburg with burial following in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Velpen.  Marion’s nephew, Pastor Jan Miller, will officiate at the service. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg nd from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Condolences may be shared online at
