Doris Ann Libbert, 71, Santa Claus

Doris LibbertDoris Ann Libbert, 71, of Santa Claus, died Monday (January 12) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born in Huntingburg December 21, 1943, to Otto and Talitha (Langebrake) Kemper.

Doris retired from Circle S Mart, where she worked as a bookkeeper and cashier. She was a member of Santa Claus United Methodist Church, enjoyed quilting, reading, growing flowers, and gardening, and loved attending activities with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Steven Libbert and wife Karen, and Roger Libbert and wife Carla, all of Ferdinand; one sister, Fernie Trummel and husband Dean, Holland; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Byron Libbert, and her companion of 20 years, Floyd Miller.

Services at noon (EST) Thursday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial following in the Zoar Cemetery. Reverend Joe Kamman will officiate at the services.
