Raymond C. Partenheimer, 90, Holland

Ray PartenheimerRaymond C. Partenheimer, 90, of Holland, died Monday (January 12) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born in Wickliffe December 23, 1924, to Joseph and Dora (Schott) Partenheimer. He married Doris C. Hilsmeyer August 15, 1948, at the Holland Methodist Church parsonage.

Raymond retired from the Holland Dairy where he worked for 45 years. He was a member of Holland United Methodist Church, the Methodist Men, Holland American Legion Post No. 343 for 65 years, and the Holland Volunteer Fire Department for 35 years. He served as a corporal in the United States Army during World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Doris C. Partenheimer; two daughters, Deborah K. Neukam and husband Donald, Huntingburg, and Dana F. Peacock and husband Kenneth, Holland; daughter-in-law Kathy Partenheimer, Holland; one sister, Fredonia Collins, Holland; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Douglas R. Partenheimer, five brothers, Walter, Paul, Pete, Jacob, and Joseph Partenheimer, seven sisters, Lorena Partenheimer, Fronia Weigel, Freda Satkamp, Elsa Katter, Lydia Sheely, Elizabeth Gibson, and Selma Merkel; and one great grandchild.

Services at 10 a.m. (EST) Thursday at Holland Methodist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Reverend Keith Chanley will officiate at the services. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Holland American Legion Post No.343 memorial detail. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg, and from 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the church. The Holland Volunteer Fire Department will conduct a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to Holland Methodist Church or to family wishes. Condolences may be shared online at www.nassandson.com.
