DALE (Indiana Department of Transportation) — INDOT says will host a public information forum next week as it continues to assess what it calls the safety of the U. S. 231/Indiana 62 Intersection near Dale.

The hearing set for 7pm (6pm CST) on Thursday, January 22nd. at the Heritage Hills High School auditorium. INDOT says no formal presentation is planned but officials will meet with the community and listen to verbal testimony during the hearing.

The intersection has been the scene of several fatal and serious injury accidents since the new four-laned 231 opened south of I-64 in nearly five years ago. The most recent fatal accident at that intersection took the life of former North Spencer school principal.
