Annetta P. Friedman, 93, Jasper

Annetta FriedmanAnnetta P. Friedman, 93, of Jasper, died Saturday (January 10) at Brookside Village in Jasper. She was born in Dubois December 19, 1921, to George and Mary (Seng) Basch. She married Othmar “Ott” Friedman May 15, 1941, at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois. He died March 13, 2006.

Annetta was a homemaker. She loved to cook and sew, she took pride in the vegetables she raised, and loved tending to her flower garden. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, the Daughters of Isabella, the St. Ann’s Society, and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by one daughter, Karen Schulz and husband John, Lafayette; one son, ,
Allen Friedman, Jasper; two grandchildren, Susan Finney and husband Chris and Michael Schulz; and two great-grandchildren, Cole and Claire.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry, Victor, and Alfred Basch, and seven sisters, Estella Gutzweiler, Elenora Chapman, Cordelia Swails, Veronica Theile, Leona Hochgesansg, Gloria Seger, and Ruth Schneider.

Services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Church with entombment following in the Fairview Cemetery mausoleum. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
