Anna Mae Hasenour, 86, Bretzville

Anna Mae HasenourAnna Mae Hasenour, 86, of Bretzville, died Saturday (January 10) at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper. She was born June 5, 1928, in Jasper to William P. and Teresa (Birk) Mehringer. She married Jerome A. “Romie” Hasenour September 11, 1951, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. He died July 27, 2013.

Anna Mae was a homemaker and sold vitamins and herbs. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and its Christian Mothers Sodality and the St. Anthony Community Center. She enjoyed being with friends, gardening, and being with family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Brames and husband Jim, and Marla McCain and husband, Tim, all of Bretzville; two sons, Stan Hasenour and wife Cheryl, and Mike Hasenour and wife Donna, all of Bretzville; one sister, Jeannie Stetter, Jasper; on brother, Ambrose Mehringer and wife Mary Lee, Jasper; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Connie Hasenour, and three sisters, Lorena Englert, Armella Hochgesang, and Jenny Bockting.

Services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony with burial following in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, and one hour before services at the church Wednesday. The St. Anthony Christian Mothers will conduct a prayer service at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.
