Anna Mae PadgettAnna Mae Padgett, 92, of Ireland, died Tuesday (January 6) at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. She was born August 3, 1922, in Jasper to Othmar and Marie (Dupps) Bockelman. She married Doyle Padgett April 23, 1945 in Tampa, Florida. He died July 9, 2003.

Anna Mae was a 1940 graduate of Jasper High School. She worked at Leed’s Selling Tools in Ireland for over 25 years, was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church, and enjoyed sewing and needlepoint.

She is survived by two sons, Doug Padgett and wife Kathy, Newburgh, and Tom Padgett and wife Linda, Ireland; six grandchilderen; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Lee Kress and husband Otto, and Rose Marie Killian, all of Jasper.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Fromme.

Services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Jasper with burial following in Otwell Cemetery. Pastor Larry Van Camp will officiate. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, and one hour before services Saturday at the church.
