Anita C. “Libby” Hedinger, 80, Jasper

Libby HedingerArlita C.” Libby” Hedinger, 80, of Jasper, died Thursday (January 1) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born in Ferdinand July 31, 1934, to Gerald and Lorena (Fischer) Uebelhor. She married Albert F. Reinsch May 1, 1954. He He died August 11, 1982. She married William H. Hedinger May 26, 1984. He died December 27, 2011.

Libby was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, the Daughters of Isabella, St. Ann’s Society, was a homebound Eucharistic minister. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Fireman’s Auxiliary, the St. Joseph’s Church decorating committee and several other committees.

She enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, baking, painting, and sewing.

She is survived by two daughters, Jan Kramer, and husband David, Jasper, and Jill Mitchell, Liberty Township, Ohio; two sons, Ted Reinsch and wife Julee, Kansas City, Missouri, and Tom E. Reinsch I and wife, Stephanie, Jasper; two step-daughters,
Christy and Cindy Hedinger, both of Tampa, Florida; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by one grandson, Zac Reinsch, and one brother, Ron Uebelhor.

Services at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Church with burial following in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-7 p.m. Sunday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. The D of I and St. Ann’s Society will pray a rosary at 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, the Dominican Sisters of Mary Mother of the Eucharist of Ann Arbor Michigan, the Dubois County Food Bank, the Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA), or to a favorite charity.
