Two Men Arrested Following Separate Domestic Incidents



JASPER (NNDC) – Jasper police arrested a a local man Sunday afternoon following a domestic incident at a northside apartment complex.

Arrested was 22-year old Jacob Courter. JPD says their investigation determined that Courter allegedly pushed a pregnant female juvenile to the ground outside an apartment at the Dubois Apartment complex at 420 West 43rd Street.

Police say their investigation also revealed that Courter was in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Courter is charged with misdemeanor counts of domestic battery, possession of paraphernalia and criminal mischief.



JASPER (NNDC) – A Jasper man arrested last Sunday night following an alleged fight at a home on north Newton Street.

Jasper police arrested 21-year old John Kempf of Jasper. Police later determined that Kempf and the daughter of the complainant in the matter had broken up earlier this weekend and Kempf was asked not to return.

Police say Kempf returned to the home seeking a reconciliation. JPD says there was another male subject at the residence and a short fight ensued between the two. Police say the father was also injured in the struggle. He complained of back and neck pain.

Kempf was taken into custody, charged with battery causing bodily injury and disorderly conduct.
