Two Local Women; Man Arrested On Drug Possession Charges (POLICE BLOTTER)

HUNTINGBURG (NNDC) – Huntingburg police arrested two local residents early Saturday morning on numerous drug charges.

Arrested were 42-year old Pamela Vaughn and 46-year old Brian Miller, both of Huntingburg.

HPD says an anonymous tip about possible drug activity at Vaughn’s home at 417 North Washington Street led to the arrests.

Police say when Vaughn invited them into the home, they found synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia in plain view.

HPD says officers were then given consent to search the home and found 28.4 grams of synthetic marijuana, a large amount of cash and what they describe as a large amount of paraphernalia.

Vaughn was taken into custody charged with dealing in synthetic drugs, a Level 5 felony, and Level 6 felony counts of possession of methamphetamine

and possession of legend drugs. She’s also charged with possession of synthetic drugs and possession of a controlled substance; both Class A misdemeanors.

Meanwhile, police say Miller was also at Vaughn’s residence. He now faces a Level 6 felony count of maintaining a common nuisance as well as Class A misdemeanor charges of possession of a synthetic drug and controlled substance.

Brian Miller, 46, of Huntingburg, was also at the home and he was arrested for Level 6 felony maintaining a common nuisance and A misdemeanor charges of possession of a synthetic drug and possession of a controlled substance.

HUNTINGBURG (NNDC) – Huntingburg police arrested a local woman on drug-related charges after they found her asleep in her car in retain store parking lot.

Taken into custody was 35-year old Katrina Bauer of Huntingburg. Police say they were called to the parking lot of the Family Dollar Store on north Main Street (U.S. 231) at about 9:30 Friday night. There a woman asleep in her car with the motor running.

HPD says when officers made contact with Bauer, they found synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia in plain view. Police also say a search of the vehicle located a bag with nearly 15 grams of synthetic marijuana. They found the marijuana during a body search.

She’s charged with Class A misdemeanor counts of possession of a synthetic drug and possession of paraphernalia.

JASPER (NNDC) – A Jasper man was arrested early Saturday morning charged with resisting law enforcement as well as public intoxication.

Jasper police say they received several reports early Saturday morning of a possible intoxicated man walking northbound along Newton Street. He was also seen walking in the street as well.

Police located the man walking in the 3600 block of Newton Street. He was 26-year old Brett Huffman of Evanston, Indiana.

Police say Huffman became argumentative and belligerent when he was approached by officers. JPD says a brief struggle also occured. The incident occured about 1:15 Saturday morning.
