Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

JASPER (CHAMBER OF COMMERCE) – The Greater Downtown Jasper Business Association is happy to announce the details for Santa Claus to make his annual pre-Christmas visit to Jasper. Continuing the traditional evening before Thanksgiving on Wednesday, November 26, Santa’s arrival will brighten your child’s evening and they can visit with him in his special house, too.

You will capture the spirit of Christmas as you gather around the beautifully decorated downtown Square in anticipation of Santa, parading from the Fire Station to his special house, in a bright red fire truck.

You are welcomed to meet with Santa at the Fire Station from 5:45 p.m. until 6:15 p.m.

At 6:15 p.m. Santa will board the Fire Truck and will be joined by his elves and members of the Messmer Family Band & Friends until they reach the West Side of the Square. Children are encouraged to dress up like Christmas packages and walk along with the mini-parade.

As band members play “O’ Christmas Tree,” an elementary school contest winner will turn on the lights of the traditional community Christmas tree in the center of downtown.

Mayor Seitz will be on hand to welcome everyone with a special greeting.

Santa will then spend a few hours visiting with children in his special Christmas House, until 8:00 p.m. Each child will receive one goodie bag. Be sure to bring your camera and take pictures so that memories can be created for your little ones.

Children and families are also encouraged to bring canned foods on this evening and these items will all be donated to the Community Food Bank. For information call the Jasper Chamber of Commerce at 482-6866.
