Ralph C. Brosmer, 91, Dubois

Ralph BrosmerRalph C. Brosmer, 91, of Dubois, died Monday (November 10) at Professional Care Rehabilitation Center in Dale. He was born in Dubois April 21, 1923, to Frank and Louise (Fehribach) Brosmer. He married Mary Crowe June 13, 1953. She died October 2, 1981.

Ralph was a lifelong farmer and a part time deputy sheriff. He was a member of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and a lifetime member of the Dubois Community Club. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and push mowing yards.

He is survived by two daughters, Bea Hopper, and husband, Bill, Dubois, and Millie Zehr, Dubois; two sons, Terry Brosmer, Dubois, and Charles Brosmer and wife Lorrie, French Lick; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren; and two step great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three sisers, Emma Schnell, Pauline Eckert, and Mary Lou Humbert, seven brothers, Oscar, Paul, Edward, Gilbert, Gus, and Adam Brosmer; one grandson, Dallas Brosmer, and one son-in-law, Mike Zehr.

Services at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Raphael’s Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
