Jasper Man Lifeflighted To Evansville Hospital Following Saturday Crash

CELESTINE (NNDC) – A Jasper man was injured in a single-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon along Santine Road about halfway between Celestine and St. Anthony.

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department says Chad Taylor, no age given, was found on the ground next to his overturned minivan along North Santine Road near the intersection of Hall Creek Road at about 2:45pm Saturday.

Taylor, who is from Jasper, was lifeflighted to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville which is condition is not known.

DCSD says it appears the minivan went off the roadway along a curve on Santine Road. It went into a ditch and then overturned in a corn field. DCSD says unsafe speed is believed to be a factor in the accident.

DCSD says Taylor will also be cited for driving with a suspended license.
