BRETZVILLE (NNDC) – A Birdseye woman was killed this afternoon in a single-vehicle rollover crash near Bretzville.

Indiana State Police say 26-year Reva Enlow of Birdseye was traveling eastbound on Indiana 64, when she lost control of her Jeep Cherokee at about 2pm.

ISP says the Jeep traveled sideways off of the north side of the roadway and rolled before coming to rest upside down, on the edge of a cornfield.

A passenger in the Jeep, 25-year old Cassie Lee Turner also of Birdseye, was thrown through the front passenger window.

After attempts by Memorial Hospital EMS and St. Anthony First Responders to revive her, Turner died as a result of her injuries.

Meanwhile, Enlow was airlifted from the scene to St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville, where she was treated for injuries to her head, spleen, and back. She is listed in stable condition.

Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
