All-Pocket Athletic Conference Football Team Announced; Southridge’s Nordhoff Named “Defensive Captain”

FERDINAND (NNDC) – The Pocket Athletic Conference has announced its All-Conference football team.

Gibson Southern quarterback Nick Sellers has been named as the conference’s Most Valuable Player. Heritage Hills quarterback Logan Wilkerson has been picked at the conference’s “offensive captain,” while Southridge linebacker/tight end Brett Nordhoff was selected as the All-Conference team’s “defensive captain.”

Nordhoff was named first-team All-PAC at inside linebacker while teammate Javi Canales was named a first-team All-Conference offensive lineman. They were only Raiders named to the PAC’s All-Conference first team.

Local players who made the All-PAC Honorable Mention list from Southridge were Connor Craig at running back, Bryce Harter at outside linebacker, Luke Stetter at defensive back and Guadalupe Perez also at defensive back. Craig was first team All-PAC a year ago. He suffered a season-ending knee injury in the Raiders’ forth game of the 2014 season at North Posey.

Meanwhile, two Forest Park Rangers were named All-PAC Honorable Mention. They are Tyler Henke at offensvie end and Noah Braunecker at outside linebacker.

The 2014 season has now concluded for both Southridge and Forest Park.
