29th Huntingburg Christmas Stroll Begins Thursday

Huntingburg (Chamber of Commerce) – The Huntingburg Merchants Association is hosting the 29th Annual Huntingburg Christmas Stroll starting Thursday, November 6th through Sunday, November 9th. The Christmas Stroll kicks off the official start of the Dubois County Olde World Christmas Season.

Thursday kicks off the weekend events with all day shopping from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. The evening will be topped off with a special event at the Old Town Hall, 309 N. Geiger St., by Will Read & Sing for Food at 7:00 pm. Admission is a canned good or monetary donation, which will be given to Shared Abundance.

Friday offers all day shopping from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and the Holiday Home tour running from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. This years tour includes a stop at the Huntingburg Museum, which will serve as the Hospitality Stop, and 5 homes in Huntingburg.

Saturday continues with shopping from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. The day is full of family-friendly events like horse-drawn carriage rides, a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and Strolling carolers from Southridge High School Choir. The evening will be capped off with a free Christmas concert by the Celebration Singers at Salem Church, 202 E 4th St., a free-will offering will be collected.

Sunday closes out the event with shops opening at 12:00 pm, the delicious Cookie Walk at the Old Town Hall, as well as horse drawn carriage rides. The Christmas Stroll will come to a close at 5:00 pm.

Free refreshments will be offered by most shops throughout the event.

7:00 p.m. Kick-off event for the Huntingburg Christmas Stroll at the Old Town Hall. Will Read and Sing for Food will perform a benefit for the Shared Abundance Food Pantry.

Friday, November 7th

Shops Open 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for all-day and late-night shopping

Holiday Home Tour 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., tickets available at the Hospitality House (Huntingburg Museum), The Downtown Emporium, Touch of Class and Gehlhausens’ Flowers & Gifts $10.00 per ticket.

Horse Drawn Carriage Rides pick up location is at the Huntingburg City Office Parking Lot 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Santa & Mrs. Claus will arrive at 1:00 p.m.

Christmas Carolers from Southridge High School Choir caroling down the streets.

Christmas Concert at Salem Church at 7:00 p.m. This will be the “Celebration Singers” first Christmas Event of the Season. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.

Sunday, November 9th

Shops Open 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for all-day shopping

Cookie Walk upstairs at the Old Town Hall starting at 12:00 p.m. until the cookies are gone!

Horse Drawn Carriage Rides pick up location is at the Huntingburg City Office Parking Lot 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
