Accident South Of Holland Injures Spencer County Man (PHOTOS)

HOLLAND (NNDC) – A man from Dale was injured Monday night when the pickup truck he was driving collided with a combine on the Indiana 151 overpass over Interstate 64 south of Dale.

Indiana State Police say the southbound pickup, driven by 50-year old James Hargin of Dale, collided into the rear of the southbound combine shorly after 8pm local time.

Police say Hargis was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville with what is described as a non-life threatening head injury.

The driver of the combine, 37-year old Christopher Tuley, also of Dale, was not hurt.

Police say Indiana 161 was closed for nearly two hours so crews could get the combine removed from the guardrail it was push into from the impact of the collision.

State police say their investigation into the accident continues. ISP says alcohol is a contributing factor in the mishap.
