JASPER (NNDC) — A Spencer County man was apprehended Wednesday on a warrant out of Dubois Circuit Court. The court says 29-year old Brian Stratman of Dale is charged with a Level 4 felony count of burglary and Level 6 counts of theft and driving while being classified as a habitual traffic violator.

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department says the charges are in connection with a burglary at a home near the Dubois/Spencer county line back on October 12th. The court says guitars, amplifiers, a flat screen TV and a PlayStation 3 were taken from the home.

DCSD says their investigation shows that Stratman pawned some of the stolen items at a pawn shop in the area.

Meanwhile, the court says the habitual traffic violator charge was filed when it was determined that Stratman was driving while his license was suspended and he was already classified as a habitual traffic violator.

Stratman made his initial appearance in Dubois Circuit Court on Thursday where his bond was set at $7,500.
