Carolyn A. Alles, 45, Birdseye

Carolyn AllesCarolyn A. Alles, 45, of Birdseye, died Friday (September 26) at her home. She was born October 18, 1968, in Huntingburg, to James L. and Mary Rose (Kessens) Bounds.

Carolyn worked at David’s Hair Salon as an independent massage therapist. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and camping.

She is survived by three sisters, Jane Hemmerlein and husband Van, Fountaintown, Margaret Rasche and husband Lenny, Huntingburg, and Teresa Bounds, Jasper; three brothers, Jim Bounds, Jr., and wife Andrea, and Jeff Bounds and wife DeAnna, all of Huntingburg, and Joe Bounds and wife, Sheila, Fishers; her companion, Mark Allen Goldman, Birdseye; and 11 nieces and nephews, Andrew and Aaron Hemmerlein, Brett and Austin Rasche, and Kaitlyn, Allison, Rachel, Johnny, Breanna, Matthew, and Roselyn Bounds.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Rose Bounds, who died May 5, 2004, and her father, James L. Bounds, who died June 30, 2011.

Services at 10 a.m. (EDT) Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg, followed by interment of her cremains in a graveside committal service at 1 p.m. Sunday, October 5, in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. A parish rosary prayer vigil will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.┬áCondolences may be shared online at
