Janel A. Fuhrman, 45, Loogootee

Janel FuhrmanJanel A. Fuhrman, 45, of Loogootee, died Monday (September 22) at her home. She was born in Jasper November 7, 1968, to Kenneth and Dorothy (Krodel) Fuhrman.

Janel was a 1987 graduate of Loogootee High School and a graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance. She worked at DC Broadcasting, was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, enjoyed singing and playing the piano, and she loved to read.

She is survived by her parents, Dorothy and Kenneth Fuhrman, Loogootee; three sisters, Kim Olry and husband Martin, Fishers, Tammy Dianovsky and husband Rick, Chicago, and Deanna Baur and husband Charles, Holland; one brother, Nathaniel Fuhrman, Jasper; seven nieces and nephews, Kyle and Matthew Olry, Miranda and Victor Dianovsky, and Emma, Lauren Grace, and Lauren Taylor Okesson.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Shannon Okesson, and one brother, Simon Fuhrman.

Services at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, and one hour before services Saturday at the church.
