“Persons of Interest” Interviewed By Police In “Laser-Spotting” Incident

StoryPETERSBURG – Investigators say they have interviewed some “persons of interests” in the case involving a green laser, reportedly following a plane over Pike County Tuesday night.

Petersburg police say the case will likely be handed over to either state police or federal detectives.

Pike County dispatch says it received a call from Indianapolis Air Traffic Control Tuesday night around 10:15 regarding a plane being “laser-spotted,” which is a federal offense.

Controllers say the plane was flying about 20 miles northwest of the Huntingburg airport, when the pilot reported there was a greenish laser following the plane.
