2247854a8cac032266d55e66ec8dd235In Volleyball action Tuesday night, Jasper wins in straight games over Heritage Hills at Lincoln City (25-6, 30-27, 25-14).

Elisabeth Ahlbrand led Jasper with 12 kills, Michala Flamion added 10. Teyah Leinenbach had 32 assists and Reagan Hochmeister scored six aces for Jasper.

In the JV match, Jasper wins in straight games by identical 25-19 scores.

Elsewhere… Southridge loses at Princeton in volleyball, 0-3 (11-25, 20-25, 18-25).

Maddie Neu and Kayla Voegerl each had 5 kills in the match. Grace Kappner had 8 assists and Maddie Lubbehusen had 18 digs for Southridge.

Meanwhile, Southridge won the JV match 2-1 (14-25, 25-19, 15-10).

Kenzie Young had 3 aces to lead Southridge. Karli Meyer had 4 kills and Kendyl McKeough had a block and 11 digs.

At Evansville, Forest Park loses to Mater Dei in three games (20-25, 9-25, 13-25).

Lydia Lange led the Lady Rangers with 6 kills in the match.

The Lady Rangers also dropped the JV match to Mater Dei (16-25, 9-25).


Forest Park picks up a big win in boys soccer Tuesday night at Lincoln City. The Rangers get their first win of the season at PAC foe Heritage Hills, 3-2.

It was an early season clash between two teams that could possibly meet up in the sectional in just a little over a month.

The Rangers struck first scoring the lone goal of the first half when Junior Landon Fleck played a cross from the left wing that Senior Kyle Fleck nodded home what was the first Ranger goal of the season.

Forest Park saw their lead disappear early in the 2nd half as they were unable to clear a Patriot corner kick.

The Rangers did get their second lead of the game when Senior Austin Bromm took a pass from Sophomore Blake Mohr and blasted a leftfooted shot that ricocheted of a Patriot defender and passed the goalkeeper.

The Rangers extended their lead when Luke Fleck was fouled in the box for a second time just minutes later and Kyle Fleck stepped up to score his second goal of the game.

Heritage Hills would get a goal back with just 15 minutes to go, but the Rangers were able to see out the final minutes including a last second save from Senior goalkeeper Miles Recker.

Forest Park improves to 1-2 overall with the win, 1-0 in the PAC.


At Ferdinand, the Forest Park Lady Rangers dropped a home soccer contest to Clarksville Providence, 4-2.

Madison Knies and Autumn Recker score goals for Forest Park who drop to 1-3 overall with the loss.


At Christmas Lake Golf Course at Santa Claus, Heritage Hills topped Southridge and South Spencer. The Lady Patriots shoot a 234 as a team, one stroke better than Southridge (235). South Spencer shoots a 247.

Southridge’s Olivia Mundy’s 48 took Medalist honors.


Both Jasper and Forest Park took part in the annual Kentucky/Indiana Border Clash at Owensboro, KY.

The Forest Park ladies took 11th place overall in a race that was shortened to a 4K because of the heat.
