Deborah Cheryl Denton, 65, Jasper

Deb DentonDeborah Cheryl Denton, 65, of Jasper, died Tuesday (August 26) in St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. She was born at Huntingburg April 21, 1949, to Charles Burk and Wilma Freyberger-Burk- Neukam.

Deborah was a 1967 graduate of Dubois High School. She retired from K-Mart where she worked for 37 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Jasper, the Christian Women’s Club, and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary of Huntingburg.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Denton; one daughter, Kristina Denton, Indianapolis; three sons, Jeff Harlow and wife Blair, Jasper, Scott Harlow and wife Laura, San Antonio, Texas, and Craig Rupprecht and wife Holly, Clarksville; her mother, Wilma Neukam, Jasper; two brothers, Chuck Burk and wife Linda and Duane Neukam, all of Jasper; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Burk, and her step-father, Willis Neukam.

A Celebration of Life memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel with burial at a later date. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
