James J. “Bimbo” Gunselman, 81, Huntingburg

James GunselmanJames J. “Bimbo” Gunselman, 81, of Huntingburg, died Sunday (July 27) at The Waters of Huntingburg Nursing Center in Huntingburg. He was born October 17, 1932, in Indianapolis, to Ed and Rose (Gunselman) Klee. She died November 8, 2012.

Jim was a retired crane operator for Olinger Construction Company and Hall Local No. 181. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Y.M.I. Club, the Huntingburg Fraternal Order of Eagles, and was an avid baseball fan.

He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Martin and husband Cliff, Sarasota, Florida, and Shelly Hedinger and husband Eric, Jasper; two sons, Jimmy Gunselman and wife Deb, Jasper, and Danny Gunselman and wife Donn, Holland; one brother, Eugene Klee, Jasper; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services at 10 a.m. (EDT) Thursday at St. Mary’s Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. A parish and Y.M.I. vigil service will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.nassandson.com.
