Marie Garrett3Marie Helena Garrett, 70, Tequesta, Florida, died Sunday (July 6) in Hobe Sound, Florida. She was born in Jasper September 18, 1943, to Harold and Bertha (Renner) Jerger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Rogers.

Marie attended St. Mary of the Woods in Terre Haute for two years and Jasper High School for two years, graduating with the JHS class of 1961.She was a hairdresser for 13 years, worked for Florida Power and Light in Indiantown, Sikorsky Aircraft and Pratt and Whitney, and for the Town of Jupiter, Florida.

She is survived by one son, Marion Garrett III, Riviera Beach, Florida; one daughter, Kimberly Call and husband Gary, Hobe Sound, Florida; two granddaughters, Brittany and Elissa Call; two sisters Florence Jerger, Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Kathy Dwyer and husband Jim, Fort Pierce, Florida; four brothers, Ronald Jerger and wife Fran, Huntingburg, Leroy Jerger and wife Darlene, Jasper, Harold J. Jerger, Jr., Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and Phillip Jerger, Jupiter, Florida; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was preceded in death three brothers, Joseph Edward, David Jerome, and Edward Jerger, and one nephew, Scott Jerger.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center in Jupiter. A Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Jude Catholic Church in Tequesta, Florida.
