Philip J. Hubbuch, 73, Evansville

PhilPhilip J. Hubbuch, 73, of Evansville, formerly of Jasper, died Monday (April 28) at his home. He was born February 20, 1941, in Louisville, to Philip J. and Minerva (Piper) Hubbuch, Sr.

Phil, a 1959 graduate of Jasper High School, graduated from the University of Kentucky with his MBA and started working with Meade Johnson in its selective management training program. Later he was underwriting vice president with Progressive Insurance, worked with Credit Thrift Financial Corporation, and retired from M.S. Financial.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda (McGrath) Hubbuch; one son, Andy Hubbuch and wife Betsy, Ridgeland, Mississippi; one daughter, Caroline Hubbuch, Jackson, Mississippi; three brothers, John, Tony, and Donald Hubbuch; two sisters, Mary Ann Sadenwater and Katherine Allen; and nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 9-10 a.m. Saturday ¬†at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3101 Bayard Park Dr., Evansville. Services at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church with Fr. Christopher Droste officiating. ¬†Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel is handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Michael J.
