BRIDGE WORK TO BEGIN NORTH OF FERDINAND APRIL 25th

INDOT-logo-300(1)The Indiana Department of Transportation says work will begin April 25th on a deck rehabilitation project on the State Road 162 bridge just north of Ferdinand.  That’s a week from this Friday (April 25th).

Crews will be replacing the bridge deck on the structure about a half-mile north of S.R. 264 over Green Creek.

INDOT says in order to maintain a safe work zone, one lane will be closed at a time. Stop lights will be installed on each end of the work zone to control traffic through the area. There will also be an 11-foot width restriction in place for all vehicles.

The contract was awarded to American Contracting of Jeffersonville for $311,822.63.  The project is expected to be completed sometime this October, weather permitting.
