A Haysville man facing criminal charges in Dubois County was arrested last night in Daviess County.44-year old Thomas Petty was not home when Dubois County deputies arrived on a call of an alleged domestic dispute.
He was later arrested along U. S. 50 east of Washington. He was taken into custody at about 8:30 last night, more than two hours after Dubois County deputies were called to his home in Haysville.
Daviess County authorities tell NewsNow Dubois County, Petty also faces an OWI charge there.
When he returns to Dubois County, Petty will be charged with Strangulation (D Felony), Battery on a Juvenile Under the Age of 17 (D Felony) and Interference with Reporting a Crime (A Misdemenaor).
Deputies say two people at Petty’s home were injured in the incident. One was treated at the scene, another was taken to Memorial Hospial.
Petty remains jailed in Daviess County. He will be transported to Dubois County after an initial appearance in court here on the OWI charge.
