5th Inning Rally Leads Lady Wildcats To Win Over McCutcheon

Untitled Sequence.04Jasper scores three runs in the bottom of the fifth to overtake visiting McCutcheon and then hang on for a hard fought 6-4 win over the Lady Mavericks at the JHS Softball Complex Friday.
The game was originally scheduled for Saturday (today), but was moved ahead a day because of pending inclement weather which ended up being the right call.

In the Jasper fifth, a wild pitch from McCutcheon’s Allie Lawson scored Paige Werner to give Jasper the lead for good as the Lady Wildcats improved to 2-0 overall with the win.

Jasper senior starter Jasmine Seitz (pictured) got the win for the Wildcats to also improve her record to 2-0.  Seitz allowed four runs over seven innings; striking out eight, walking four and surrendering seven hits.
