Domestic Incident Ends With Two Injured; One In Jail

A Spencer man is now in police custody following a violent domestic incident at a Huntingburg apartment.

Huntingburg police say they were called to the Lincoln Village apartments on the city’s northside on at about 6-20pm on a call of a hysterical female…

There, police learned that 32-year old Rogelio Solis, Jr, who police say has children with the female tenant of the apartment, entered the apartment without permission. Police also say Solis, who was intoxicated, entered a bedroom and then battered the woman before getting into a fight with a man who was visiting the woman.

Police say Solis broke a wooden cane over Michael Buzan before badly injuring Michael’s eye.

Solis then fled the apartment on foot before police arrived. He was located a short time later by Dubois County deputies at the Los Dos Charros restaurant on East 22nd Street.

He fled from a deputy but was taken into custody a short time later.

Solis is charged with Domestic Battery, Aggravated Battery, Residential Entry, Resisting Law Enforcement, Public Intoxication, Disorderly conduct, and Posssession of a Scheduled III Substance.

Police say Michael Buzan, and the female victim both refused medical treatment following the incident.
