Seitz Says Jasper Trying To Lure Workers For 700 Jobs


Jasper Mayor Terry Seitz told a statewide television audience that Jasper has local employers who are committed to hiring 700 workers over the next two years.

The program originally aired Sunday statewide and will air again at 10pm Thursday on WNIN-TV in Evansville.

Dubois County’s unemployment rate in December was the lowest in Indiana at 4.2 percent, a ranking it has held or shared for the better part of the last year-and-a-half.

The Indiana Department of Workforce Services says the county’s workforce in December was 21,564 people of which 20,652 were employed.
