Jasper Businessman Albert “Jack” Sternberg Passes Away

742_0000171795Albert A. “Jack” Sternberg, founder and owner of Sternberg Automotive Group headquartered in Jasper, with affiliates in Louisville, Evansville, Bloomington, and Dale passed away Tuesday evening in Jasper.  He was 90.

He was also one of the founders and on the Board of Directors of both Jasper State Bank, and Freedom Bank.   Jack was also an Army Air Corps Veteran who served during WWII.

Funeral services for Albert A. “Jack” Sternberg will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday (February 8, 2014) at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper, IN with entombment to follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper. The American Legion Post #147 will conduct military gravesite rites.

Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday (February 7, 2014) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, and one hour before services at Precious Blood Church. The Jasper Moose will conduct a memorial service at 6:00pm.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Precious Blood Catholic Church, the St. Benedict’s Convent, or to the Dubois County Food Bank.
