Sandra A. Bleemel, 66, of Hillham, died Sunday (February 2) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana. She was born in Martin County April 25, 1947, to Hanley and Helen (Street) Padgett. She married Robert F. Bleemel May 1, 1965, in St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois.
Sandra was a homemaker. She also worked for Wabash Valley Produce and Wal Mart, from which she retired. She was a member of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois.
She enjoyed watching soap operas, traveling, and watching NASCAR and wrestling. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Robert F. Bleemel; three daughters, Cathy Bleemel and partner Glen Siddons, St. Anthony, Susan Fullerton and husband Troy, Jasper, and Staci Rhoderick, Henderson, Kentucky; one son, Harold Bleemel and partner Sarah Kemp, Hillham; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Vicki Qualkenbush and husband Dave, Loogootee, Ruth Meyer and husband Gary, Jasper, and Sue Hembree, Loogootee; and two brothers, Harold Street and wife Lila, and Philip Street and wife Virginia, all of Loogootee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Street.
Funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois with burial to following at a later date. Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
