Robert Lee “Bob” Kreilein, 70, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, died Wednesday (January 29) in Campbellsville. He was born in Jasper February 2, 1943, to Hilbert and Clara Merion (Buechlein) Kreilein. He married Gloria Antle June 24, 1989.
Bob was a member of Elkhorn United Methodist Church. He was a retired employee of Kimball International and plant manager of Kimball’s Greensburg Manufacturing for 29 years. He was a 1961 graduate of Jasper High School, a basketball standout for the Wildcats, and was selected as a South All-Star. He played basketball at the University of Mississippi, earning varsity letters in 1963, 64, and 65. He was an avid golfer and served in the Indiana National Guard.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria Kreilein; one daughter, Gretchen Kreilein-Schmoetzer and husband Tom, New Albany; two sons, Myron Kreilein, Louisville, and Brett Kreilein and wife Francie, Bowling Green, Kentucky; two brothers, Charles Kreilein and wife Clara, Jasper, and Michael G. Kreilein and wife Carol, Huntingburg; eight grandchildren, Logan and Isaac Schmoetzer, Sarah, Cole, and Mason Kreilein, Lindsey Coffelt, and Tyler and Blake Stephens; and one great-granddaughter, MaKinley Coffelt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Max Kreilein.
Funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Brother Ron Dooley and Brother Darrell Lyons will officiate. Burial will follow in Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery in Campbellsville.Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
