Helena H. Goller, 84, of Jasper, died Thursday (January 30) in the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper. She was born in Jasper, April 2, 1929, to Edward and Eva (Baer) Breitweiser. She married Ralph Goller September 25, 1948. He preceded her in death July 22, 1999.
Helena was a waitress at the Jasper Knights of Columbus home in Jasper for many years. She also worked for Wabash Valley Produce in Dubois. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at the Dubois Crossroads, enjoyed gardening, and loved her kittens.
Surviving are two daughters, Marilee Lord and husband Bob, Haysville, and Shirley Dillon and husband Chuck, Dubois; one son, Roger Goller and wife Jenny, Haysville; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Hemmerlein and husband Harold and Selma Neukam, all of Jasper; and one brother, Edwin L. Breitweiser, Jasper.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, Jeffery and Kelly Truelove, one brother, Raymond Breitweiser, who died in infancy, and two sisters, Mary Lou breitweiser, who died in infancy, and Genevieve Seitz.
Funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John’s Lutheran Church at the Dubois Crossroads with burial following in the church cemetery. Rev. Mary Poston and Rev. John Simmons will officiate. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour Monday before services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Emanuel Hill Lutheran Church or to the Northwood Retirement Community.
