REINFORCING COLD FRONT TO BRING COLD WIND CHILLS THURSDAY MORNING

BY DAYBREAK THURSDAY…TEMPERATURES ARE FORECAST TO FALL INTO THE SINGLE DIGITS. WINDS WILL BE FROM THE NORTHWEST AT 10 TO 15 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS. THE COMBINATION OF THE WIND AND COLD TEMPERATURES WILL MEAN WIND CHILLS FALLING INTO THE SINGLE DIGITS BELOW ZERO FOR SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY AND TO AROUND TEN DEGREES BELOW ZERO FOR THE REST OF KENTUCKY AS WELL AS SOUTHERN INDIANA.

IN ADDITION…SOME LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS ARE POSSIBLE BEHIND THIS COLD FRONT LATER THIS EVENING. DRY AIR IN PLACE AHEAD OF THE FRONT WILL HINDER SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL. THE BEST CHANCE FOR A LIGHT ACCUMULATION…LESS THAN HALF AN INCH…WILL BE ALONG AND NORTH OF A LINE FROM PAOLI INDIANA TO SHELBYVILLE KENTUCKY TO RICHMOND KENTUCKY.
