Nicholas L. Ebert, 27, of Huntingburg, died Saturday (January 18) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born December 16, 1986, in Memphis, Tennessee to Harley and Patricia (Fritz) Ebert.
Nick worked as a sales professional at Jasper Engines and Transmissions. He was a member of the Olympic Heights High School class of 2005 in Boca Raton, Florida, and Christian Church of Jasper. He was an athlete and enjoyed many sports, including, golf, baseball, softball, and basketball.
Surviving are his father, Harley Ebert and his wife Monica, Newnan, Georgia; one sister, Tara Ebert and her fiancé Michael Firestone, Miami, Florida; one brother, Tyson Ebert and his fiancé, Rachel Rogers, Brooklyn, New York; one step brother, Austin Towler, Newnan, Georgia; his girlfriend, Allie Fleck, Jasper; maternal grandmother, Lillian Fritz, St. Anthony; and paternal grandfather, Tony Ebert, Ferdinand.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ebert, his maternal grandfather, Lawrence Fritz, and his paternal grandmother, Hilda Ebert.
Funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Christian Church of Jasper with burial following in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Schnellville. Rev. Darrel Land will officiate. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday Christian Church of Jasper and from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Church of Jasper.
