Paul MonroePaul Monroe, 56, of Jasper, died Tuesday (January 7) at his home. He was born December 11, 1957, in Huntingburg, to Calvin Paul and Anna Jane (Ermert) Monroe.

Paul worked at the Jasper Herald for 23 years as a printing press operator. He was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard. He enjoyed fishing, pitching horseshoes, and bowling.

He is survived by three sons, James and Dakota Monore, both of Huntingburg, and Jordan Monroe, Chicago; seven sisters, Christine Messmer, Sharon Montgomery and husband Ron, Petersburg, Debbie Mendel and Nancy Warner, both of Jasper, Beverly Arnold, Dale, Connie Houchin and husband Bob, Ferdinand, and Bridgett Hamm, Evansville; two brothers, Gary Uppencamp and wife Linda, Gentryville, and Henry Uppencamp and wife Kelly, Ferdinand; and one granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services Paul Monroe at 2 p.m. (EST) Saturday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with military honors conducted by the V.F.W. Post No. 2366 Memorial Detail.
