Marvin E. Kellems, 74, Birdseye

Marvin E. Kellems, 74, of Birdseye, died Thursday (January 2) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born May 5, 1939, in Birdseye to Roy H. and Stella I. (King) Kellems. His first wife, Sandra (Gunselman) Kellems, died August 26, 2001. He married Opal L. Lee March 30, 2003, in Ferdinand.

Marvin was retired from Styline Corporation. He enjoyed woodworking, oil painting, and clock making.

He is survived by his wife, Opal L. Kellems; one daughter, Karen R. Adams, Eckerty; three sons, Edward D. Kellems, Birdseye, Keith A. Kellems, Eckerty, and Mark A. Kellems, Tell City; two step children, Alvin Buck, Jr. and Anita Lynne Jackson, both of Owensboro, Kentucky; one sister, Mabel Eckert, Henderson, Kentucky; and four grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Edward J. Kellems.

Graveside services at 10 a.m. (EST) Saturday in the Birdseye Cemetery. Reverend Wayne Pendley will officiate at the service.
