Elvis George King, 80, a resident of the Providence Home Health Care Center in Jasper, formerly of Birdseye, died Saturday (January 4) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born November 4, 1933, in Birdseye to Clovie and Bertha Elizabeth (Deel) King.
Elvis graduated top of his class at Birdseye High School and attended Oakland City College. He worked at the Jasper Glove Company and attended the Birdseye First Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by two sisters, Wilma Julian, Birdseye, and Phyllis O’Connor, Greenfield; one brother, Gerald Wayne King, Indianapolis; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services at 2 p.m. (EST) Friday Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial following in Birdseye Cemetery. Pastor Bret Eckert will officiate at the services.
