Two Teens Hurt In Late Sunday Night Accident East Of Dubois

Two local teenagers were hurt in a late Sunday night accident in northeast Dubois County.

17-year old Dillon Ramsey of rural Ferdinand was the driver of car involved in the single-vehicle accident along the Dubois-Cuzco Road near North 850 East around 11:30pm.

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office says Ramsey’s vehile was westbound when it went off the roadway before going going airborne off an embankment and hitting a tree head-on.

Both Ramsey and a passenger in the car, 14-year old Curtis Gress of Celestine were transported to Memorial Hospital in Jasper. Ramsey was later transported by ambulance to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville with a leg injury.

Gress was treated and released from Memorial with minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
