Cyril H. Mundy, 70, Bretzville

Cyril MundyCyril H. Mundy, 70 of Bretzville, died Friday (December 27) at his home. He was born in Ireland March 24, 1943, to Romuald and Clara (Buschkoetter) Mundy. He married Irma Kluemper October 12, 2001.

Cyril was the owner of an ad specialty business, Mainstream Enterprises Inc. He worked in sales at Agri-Central and Sternberg Chrysler Center. He also drove a semi truck for several years and served in the Indiana National Guard. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, was a past president of the Ireland Lions Club, past director of the Jasper Outdoor Recreation Club, past treasurer of the Ireland Sportsman Club, past governor and treasurer of the Jasper Moose, and past treasurer of the Legion of the Moose. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing cards and dice games, dominos, and camping and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Irma Kluemper-Mundy; three daughters, Bonnie Meadows and husband Bob, Debbie Schmitt and husband Curt, and Jane Bonifer and husband Phil, all of Ireland; one son, Rodney Mundy and wife Kim, Ireland; one step-daughter, Lisa Voges and husband Allen, Bretzville; two step-sons, Scott Kluemper and wife Annette, and Kevin
Kevin Kluemper and wife Rebecca, all of Monrovia; nine grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; four brothers, Sylvester Mundy and wife Rosie, Huntingburg, Vincent Mundy and wife Grace, Melbourne, Florida, Melvin Mundy and wife Mary, Jasper, and Kenneth Mundy and wife Marilyn, Ireland.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, with entombment to follow at a later date at Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
