Clemens J. “Clemie” Renner, 86, Ireland

Clemie RennerClemens J. “Clemie” Renner, 86, of Ireland, died Saturday (December 28) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born in Ireland November 14, 1927, to Theodore and Cecelia (Sermersheim) Renner. He married Rosemary Wagner on November 20, 1958, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland.

Clemmie was a lifelong farmer and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, V.F.W. Post No. 673, American Legion Post No. 147, the Ireland K of C, and the Ireland Sportsman Club.

He is survived by his wife, Rosie Renner; two daughters, Sharon Stoltz and husband Gary, Evansville, and Linda Steckler and husband Dave, St. Henry, one son, Scott Renner and wife Donna, Ireland; 10 grandchildren, Jonathon, Eric, and Jordan Stoltz, Megan, Andy, Logan, and Jenna Steckler, and Tyler, Holly, and Laura Renner; one great-grandson, Easton Stoltz; and one sister, Eleanor Denning, St. Meinrad.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Agnes Eckert and Maggie Sendelweck.

Funeral services at 10 a.m. Tuesday (December 31) at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, with burial following in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday (December 30) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
