Bonnie Faye Froman, 75, Huntingburg

Bonnie FayeBonnie Faye Froman, 75, of Huntingburg, died Wednesday (December 25) in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born November 26, 1938, in Marengo to Ernest and Doshia Olene (Barton) Froman.

Bonnie was a former school teacher and preacher.  She graduated from Oakland City College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and served in the United States Army as a private in the Women’s Army Corps.

She is survived by three daughters, Hannah Ballman and husband Rick,  Saint Meinrad, Katheryn Stephens,  English, and Rachel Hopper, Mexico; three sons, Michael, Hobart and Timothy Stephens, all of Huntingburg; three brothers, Leroy Froman, Spencer County, Dale Froman, Dale, and Donnie Froman, Indianapolis; 14grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by:  her husband, Paul Hobart Stephens, who died January 12, 2009.

Graveside services at 2 p.m. (EST) Monday at the Selvin Cemetery in Selvin.  The V.F.W. Post No. 2366 Memorial Detail will conduct military graveside rites.  Friends are invited to attend the graveside service and should meet directly at the cemetery Monday afternoon.  There will be no visitation at the funeral home.  Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg is in charge of arrangements.
