Huntingburg Police Release Additional Details About Christmas Eve Accident

Huntingburg police have confirmed that 18-year old Alan Hopf of rural Huntingburg died at the scene of the Christmas Eve morning accident on the city’s northside.

Police also say one of the other two drivers involved in the accident, 39-year old Tammy Fehribach of Dale was initially taken to Memorial Hospital in Jasper with what police say were serious, but non-life threatening injuries. ¬†She was later lifeflighted to St. Mary’s Medical ¬†Center in Evansville.

The third driver, 39-year old Kathryn Burnett, of rural Tennyson, refused treatment at the scene but police say she was later transported to Memorial Hospital by a friend for life-threatening injuries.

Police say their investigation into the cause of the accident is still on-going.
