Alan G. Hopf, 18, Huntingburg

Alan HopfAlan G. Hopf, 18, of Huntingburg, died Tuesday (December 24), from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Huntingburg. He was born March 23, 1995, in Jasper Memorial Hospital, to Gregory and Kristina (Fleck) Hopf.

Alan was a 2013 graduate of Jasper High School. He worked part-time for Werner’s Sawmill in Ireland and was a member of Pipe-Fitters Union in Evansville. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, working on cars and trucks, and truck and tractor pulls.

Surviving are his mother, Kristina Hopf; two sisters, Allison Hopf, Jasper, and Alexa Hopf, Huntingburg; and two brothers,
Adam and Austin Hopf, both of Huntingburg.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Hopf, and his step-father, Stanley “Stretch” Hopf, who died November 27, 2013.

Funeral services at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial following in the church cemtSt. Mary Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday (December 26, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
