Mildred M. Blesch, 88, Indianapolis

Mildred M. Blesch, 88, of Indianapolis, formerly of Holland, died Friday (December 13) at The Hearth at Windermere in Fischers. She was born February 19, 1925, in Jasper, to Basil Frank and Frieda (Hurst) Tempel. She married William Derris Blesch March 31, 1950, in Jasper.

Mildred was a homemaker, a member of St. Henry Parish and a lifetime member of the St. Henry Christian Mothers. She is a former member of the Huntingburg Country Club where she was an avid golfer.

She is survived by three daughters, Jill Blesch, Indianapolis; Sara Harpe and husband George, Athens, Georgia, and Lora Nelson and husband Brett, Fischers; one sister, Betty Kemp and husband Jerry, Loogootee; four grandchildren, Emily and Betsy Harpe and Derris and Bryce Nelson; and one great-grandson, Lex Harpe.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Derris Blesch, one son, William Blesch II, one brother, Basil F. Tempel, Jr., and one sister, Armella T. Kent.

Funeral services  at 10 a.m. (EST) Tuesday at St. Henry Catholic Church in St. Henry, with burial following in the church cemetery. Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
