James G. Seger, 65, Bretzville

edited picJames G.  Seger, 65, of Bretzville, died Sunday (December 15) at his home. Jim was born January 23, 1948, to John and Martha (Lannan) Seger. He married Marsha Huff June 24, 1972, in Birdseye Christian Church.

Jim retired from Kimball where he had worked for 41 years. He was a member of the Dubois Community Club and coached Little League baseball. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved attending shooting matches and playing cards. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds baseball and Indiana University basketball fan.

Surviving are his wife, Marsha Seger; two sons, Mark Seger, St. Anthony, and David Seger and companion Renee, Bretzville; one daughter, Carla Slauter, and husband Carey, Greenwood; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; three sisters, Earlene Stevens, Stillwater, Oklahoma, Karen Brown and husband Roger, Huntingburg, and Brenda Colber, Birdseye; four brothers, Jeff Seger and wife  Nelda, Winamac, Gary Seger and wife Michelle, Jasper, Mike Seger and wife Diana, Celestine, and Pat Seger and wife Vicki, Bretzville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Seger.

Funeral services 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, with burial  following in Cox Cemetery in Kyana.  Pastor Jeff Seger will officiate.
