Ray F. Lehmkuhler, 83, Huntingburg

Ray LehmkuhlerRay F. Lehmkuhler, 83, of Huntingburg, died Thursday (December 5) at his home. He was born February 19, 1930, in Huntingburg to Frank and Toleda (Voelkel) Lehmkuhler.

Ray was a farmer; a member of Salem United Church of Christ, the American Legion, Duff Conservation Club, and V.F.W. Post #2366. He enjoyed watching old westerns and loved his cats. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by one son, Allen Ray Lehmkuhler ,Graysville, Tennessee; one brother, Clarence C. Lehmkuhler, Huntingburg, his niece and caregiver, Mary Jane Berger, Jasper; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mabel Stone.

Funeral services at 10 a.m. (EST) Tuesday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial following in Mayo Cemetery near Duff. The Reverend Mark West will officiate the services. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post #2366 Memorial Detail. Friends may call for from 1-8 p.m. Monday at the the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg, and from 9-10 a.m.Tuesday prior to the funeral.  Condolences and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on-line at www.nassandson.com.
