Albert T. Carrico, 83, Jasper

Albert CarricoAlbert T. Carrico, 83, of Jasper, died Thursday (December 5) at the Timbers of Jasper. He was born August 10, 1930, in Loogootee to Albert and Clara (Lannan) Carrico. He married Jo Ellen Blines January 28, 1956, at St. Simon’s Catholic Church in Washington.

Albert was a farmer and retired from Jasper Engines and Transmissions, where he had worked for many years. He was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church in Whitfield. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Surviving are his wife, Joe Ellen Carrico; one daughter, Anna Carrico, Jasper; and one sister, Pearl Bridgewater and husband Teddy, Loogootee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary Elizabeth and Lisa Louise Carrico, four sisters, Marie Wildman, Mary Spears-Stoll, Gleta Sheetz, and Agnes Christmas; three brothers, John and Emil Carrico and Daniel Carrico, who died in infancy.

Funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday (December 9) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, with burial following in Fairview Cemetery. Pastor James Harris will officiate. Friends may call from 1-6 p.m. Sunday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Jasper or to a favorite charity.
